So, some of you have heard my horror story about Solectron. I've sent that POS back and I got a replacement system. Sounds all good right? WRONG!

This replacement system has an EVEN GRAINIER SCREEN! Also, the three indicator lights between the Dell Media Direct and Power Button (Scroll Lock, Caps Lock, Num Lock) dont work at all. Also, the side panels next to the keyboard are loose and not seated correctly so on the side of my computer there is a noticeable gap. To top it all off, the touchpad has a dead spot so as I use the touchpad, the mouse just stops moving once I hit that dead spot. No matter how many times I do driver reinstalls, change the settings, or pound on the damn thing, nothing helps. I'm currently on the phone with Dell setting up ANOTHER REPLACEMENT! This is really making me frustrated. What hell did I do to deserve this?

After a long talk and explaining my story to the Dell Customer Care manager, she'll be forwarding my situation to Corporate. I really want this to be heard cause I really don't want anyone else experiencing what I've gone through. Thanks for bearing with my rants.

Despite your understandable anger, don't bypass the language filter! We have it for a reason.

Anyway, it sounds like this isn't going so well for you. You might want to consider just returning the notebook if you are still within your return period. Two lemons isn't a good sign.

This is why I decided to go with the Sony SZ6 series after waiting over 5 weeks for my first m1330, and being asked to wait another 5 for it's replacement.

Dell has pushed out far too many lemons this launch for me to get burnt more than once. :( I really liked my m1330 too, but the quality just wasn't there.
