Just shipping and I didn't even try to ask for it. I did try to get a free bag but got shot down

 

Absolutely nothing (July 12th order facing 3 delays). Was rather frustrated about that.

 

Free 1 day shipping, but not from delays. It was because it took 5 hours to cancel a first order and make another with a better CPU.

The line for that one is: I've spent far too much time listening to that awful smooth jazz only to be transfered to another line with the same music. I'm a busy person and I want some of that time back. How about expediting the shipping at no cost?

I probably could have pushed for more, but I'm in sales myself and while I don't mind throwing in a little freebie, I hate people who take that generosity and abuse it.

Haha! Same. But if my order does get delayed, I'm going for some freebies. My ETA corresponds with 10-12 business days like I was told. It's such a painful wait. I already got a $50 coupon when I ordered, so I guess that counts as a freebie.

Well, I just got $100 in coupon form from Mohan, the rep on dell chat... he was nice

EDIT: Mohan just now gave me a $100 credit on my order WOOHOO! That means I got my lappy for a little over $1200 including shipping and tax

and as i said before... expedited order (twice, one before delay and one after delay, lol), and free next day shipping

wow... i guess I can say that I got a good deal from Dell because I just configured the 1420 exactly the same as the one that I ordered and its $600 more expensive now!! crazinessssssssssssssssssssssss! With the $100 credit that I got just a few days ago, it actaully makes the new configuration $700 more expensive! Ridiculous!

 

I had gotten $50 USD credit on my first order, but Dell took it away when I cancelled for the 1520. I got next day shipping for free on that for just asking why the Ship To and Bill To spots said N/A. Am I going to try to get something if I get delayed again? No.

 

Next Day shipping and a free carrying case which I will probably get before I get my new laptop.

i got next business day shipping and a free printer i didnt need one i ask to upgrade my warrenty and the csr guy wasnt allowed to do it

 

Asked why the hell my laptop was taking until the 16th of August to ship, got $50 back and free next day shipping through a few talks this morning.

Will my order status page change to reflect these or is it going to just show up randomly the next day rather than the estimated delivery date?

speakin of free stuff. i was wonderin if they give at least a case like thingy for the lappy.

 

i suck at haggling so nothing here =(. i called like 5 times for different operators and the last one was like "you know that we have certain standards for discounts so it makes no difference how many times you called." so i hung up on her. and called again for a different person.

 

you need to ask for things through the online dell chat... it works a lot better!
