    Hi...

I'm willing to buy a new Dell Studio 15 in a few weeks, probably in a month or so.

I want to know what display is better:

    1. Hi Resolution/Bright, glossy widescreen 15.4 WLED display (1440x900)
    2. Hi Resolution, glossy widescreen 15.4 inch display (1920x1200)

    It's Going to be:
    - Windows Vista Ultimate
    - The highest processor available at the moment of the buy (probably I'll wait for Montevina)
    - 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 [add $75]
    - 4gb RAM
    - 200Gb SATA HD (7,200RPM)
    - 6x Slot load Bluray
    - Back-lit keyboard
    - 1510 Wireless N Card (probably this is going to change with Montevina)
    - Internal Bluetooth
    - 2mpx webcam
    - 9 cel batteries
    - Integrated Fingerprint reader

As probably you can see I'm going to expend like $2,750. So I want the best option, because I have a Inspiron 9300 and is time to change it.

What are your suggestions?? Do I wait for a new XPS to come out?? (is there anything that's coming new from Dell after the Studio??) Thanx in advance.

LED is the superior screen. Sager's screen isn't superior but the laptop overall is. If you want to spend that much money then that laptop isn't the best use of it... Performance/$ is abominable if it really costs that much for those specs o.o

both are good options. The LED is the darling new tech and will probably become the standard in the future as long as it's not replaced by some other technology before that happens. If you work on Photoshop or other Content creation programs the extra pixels on the non-led 1920x1200 screen will come in handy.
Though i do use my computer for content creation most of the time Personally i'd go with the LED screen but only because i connect my computer to an external monitor in a dual monitor setup and do the majority of my work on a a much larger screen. Reserving the laptop screen for tool bars and web tutorials.

Ok... I'm going to use it for:

    1. Microsoft Flight Simulator (looking for the X one)
    2. Photoshop
    3. Internet
    4. Not high performace gaming (probably just Need 4 Speed)
    5. College work

The main problem is that i live in Puerto Rico so I'm looking for a computer that i can get guarantee here. I can buy Sager but they don't have here places where I can go and fix it fast.

That's my main problem. In my house everybody have Dell and we never had problem with them.

What about XPS??? Are they going to take out soon an upgrade???
