    I1520 with:
    T7300 CPU
    1GB DDR2 (I'll upgrade this myself.. Dell's memory prices are excessive :D )
    15.4" WXGA (1024x768 on a 14.1" standard laptop is a nice size.. I figure it's about equivalent for a 15.4" widescreen?)
    256MB GeForce 8600M GT
    120GB 5400RPM HD
    Vista Premium
    9 cell battery
    Wireless N, Bluetooth

    for $1444.15CAD + tax.

Good deal, meh, or am I being ripped off here (reminder.. I'm in Canada so I can't get all of the US deals)?

Also, will I be able to play the latest games at native resolution (maybe not at max settings.. )? I can see benchmarks, but 3DMark scores don't tell me much about what I can actually *play* with the system..

You will be able to play at pretty decent settings with high FPS. and that is a pretty good price also.

That's a great price, actually (decent price in U.S. dollars...if that's Canadian, you're fairly golden). You'll definitely have a decent gaming laptop with an extra gig of RAM. Graphics card good, 9 cell battery good, processing speed is decent, Vista Premium > Business/Ultimate. I would say all in all a good buy.
