What for Penryn or buy M1330 now?

Topic name should read: Wait for Penryn, sorry i'm really tired :(

    Argh, I just can't decide.

I've just cancelled my current order for a m1330 because i wasn't happy with the spec, I should have got a better one.

So, should I order a top of the line m1330 now or wait maybe a week at the max for penryn?

I really need a laptop now because i am in the thick of college work and my parents 5 year old laptop really doesn't cut it!!! But I would hate the feeling of seeing penryn come out a few days after I recieve it. Returning it for a refund and re-ordering would not be something i'd consider, too much hassle when I need to concentrate on my studies.

I know that the equivalent penryn (2.5Ghz 6MB Cache) will be about 15-20% faster than a T7500 (2.2Ghz 4MB Cache) and I don't really care about the added battery life, I just like having the latest technology

One last thing, I live in the UK and I am pretty sure it would be at least £100 more for the same penryn based system in 1-4 weeks, so buying now would be a really good deal and if I bought penryn i'd probably get ripped off. Plus i've got a 10% discount code that runs out the day after tomorrow.

I'm sooo torn, please put me out of my misery and give me some help!!

    Thanks..

If $ is a consideration I'd buy now too. The 2.5Ghz 6MB Cache could be 'a lot' more than the 7500.

I'm in the same boat. I think I will buy the 1330 now because the 7500 is more than adequate for what I need and I don't want to wait 2 months (?) to pay hundreds more. Suppose the 7500's could come down in price even more though.

I think it's quite likely that there will be another voucher out next week. There has been for the past 6 weeks or so. But I think that will end at the start of Feb.

I would buy it now and get a great , loaded computer and
get the next gens out in the next year or two.. they really will
be different and faster. If you like new technology, that's what I'm going to do.

I'd order it just before the deal expires and if there's a better deal later with Penryn, just cancel the order and re-order with the new processor.

I wish I was. I actually can not decide, whether buy it or not... I'm really in love with this stuff but I don't really need a new laptop! My old one is just fine :) But it really bugs me, I check the forums and Dell website at least three times a day :)
