Is there any official information about Dell Home Coupons we used to use last months. There used to be 300, 400, 750 OFF , and now the only coupon available is just 20% off 999+ and 150 off for 750+.
Also This month Prizes of e1405 are much higher than they used to be ( around 100-200$ higher). Does Dell moved up the prises just to meet the prize of Merom when it comes on their website, because i heard merom will be the same prize as yonah.
Are they going to put back these coupons?

Nope, it seems like the days of the huge dell coupons are over for good. Dell was losing to much money that way, and had its worst quarter ever. So bye bye to the coupons, add on top of that higher prices and this is dells answer to a bad qtr in sales...

To be fair, Dell has said that they will be having lower prices generally, so instead of requiring consumers to wait around for the next coupon, they should be able to get lower prices most of the time.

well that's what they're saying, but when you make some configurations, they are a few hundred dollars more expensive than they would've been with the coupons.

i bought mine just a month ago and i just configured it exactly the same way as i did then, and it came out to 1760. with the 750 off coupon, i had it at 1430. so they are trying to gain back some ground.

my dad bought a 1505 about a month ago.

for 100-150 more (depending on coupon), he would now get double the ram, upgraded optical drive, upgraded LCD, and some other stuff that IMO makes the system a much better buy now than previously. of course, it's more money OOP, but in terms of "bang-for-your-buck", it's a better deal now.
