Does anyone know why Dell extended the $619 off deal.

I guessed that they would release the penryn or some backlit LED screens today. :(

    I was kind of excited.

It will be soon, but no one knows when 45nm chips will be out or the LED will be out for the 1530. Dell needs to make sure there is enough supply for them to offer it. They don't want another 1330 fiasco on their hands.

If they just came out with the LED screens that would seal the deal for me.

I'm waiting for both Penryn and LED :), sad that it's taking so long. Hopefully they're doing some good quality control on it this time around.

I think the deal has been extended for economic reasons...

They're probably trying to sell out their stock of 1530's.
