(m1530)
beginning of february i received a laptop with the sec3350 lcd, and the media buttons didn't work after the screen was replaced with another sec3350.
received a replacement m1530, another sec3350, screen replaced with another sec3350, technician damaged and couldn't put back together laptop.
THIRD laptop, received LG screen, computer works. i set up netflix, watched 30 seconds, computer freezes completely and shuts down. computer boots, but no screen, nothing nothing NOTHING. talked to xps tech support, ran diagnostic, MOTHERBOARD failure.
what in the world? i want this laptop but why can't they get me one that works? return it? then what laptop? theres really nothing else i want.

keep trying, the odds of this bad luck continuing are phenomenal
-
Tell them how upset you are and ask for a replacement (THAT WORKS!!!)...
-
im getting a replacement, talking to them now.
-
ask for two replacements for your one...
-
could netflix have done anything? this sounds far fetched but i can't believe this.
netflix wouldn't work at first because i had installed it on the other laptops so i had to enable it over the phone for this last laptop.
the second the guy did that, the movie played and computer froze. -
If it's a motherboard failure, it still sounds like it's your computer since motherboard failures are able to screw everything up and make random things not work correctly.
-
WOW, you've had some really bad luck! If you do get a replacement I would definitely keep both systems until a tech can come and swap the LG screen (from the bad motherboard system) into the new one... because you'll probably get another Samsung!

I doubt netflix caused your motherboard failure...

i'll do the replacement myself. this should be a straight swap correct? i am very confident in this procedure.
btw, they are giving me this too http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...oductdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=A0736276
oh yeah btw, i do not trust the company dell contracts out repairing. twice they came out, twice they messed it up. -

I have to say, the bag works great! It may look small but it packs alot (lots of small pockets and storage components once you open it up) and overall the material feels very durable, great built quality as well. -
ok guys, replacement has sec3350, i am doing the swap.
what do you guys think the chances are that the screen could cause damage to the new one?
edit: do i need to remove the wireless card connection? -
oh and uh...the case is prety sweet. probably a little bit more than i even wanted but i was on the spot when i was on the phone with the customer service, so it was a quick decision.
basically, i said, how are you going to compensate me. at first hes like "your lid is black, how about the color blue"
and i wanted BLACK any ways so hes like "uhhh...search carrying case in the dell search and choose one"
so thats it -

what about my warranty? i supose i could always fall back on the accidental coverage haha
-
Well, since I purchased the LG myself I still have the Samsung to put back in it if I had a major warranty problem and they needed to replace the whole laptop. But, if I didn't have the extra Samsung and I had issues I would just act "dumb" about the whole thing. I assume they wouldn't even look or notice what brand of screen you have. They obviously don't notice how bad the Samsungs are and keep using them.
-
ok, i did it. the swap was a breeze, lol. heres a pic of whats left of the other one. i'll assemble it tomorrow.
-
Good for you... there's no reason you should have to go through Dell Hell again to get another LG!
-
chucko83, what's your screen resolution?
-
i have 1680X1050
-
you said it man
What is going on...the issues DO NOT stop.
