    plastic! nice and un-heat conducting

but, it keeps its cool, just beware when you are playing intensive games and its on your lap...playing 2141 (ya its not that intensive but still... lol ) my processor (T5500) went to 74*C...using the bios to control the temp. however i like to use I8kfanGUI to control the fan myself depending what im doing. when i use I8kfanGUI the temp stays under 65*C

thought the case wont hurt you, infact it is a nice warm feeling, yes NICE well, to me...lol

    Sandpaper....

but seriously....try rubbing alcohol or, if you can get it, acetone (nail-polish remover is weaker, but contains acetone)...but beware, there is always a chance that these could hurt the finish....so just try a little to start.

if that doesn't work, then consider my first suggestion... :p

IPA (Isopropyl alcohol), AKA rubbing alcohol, should do the trick. Hopefully it doesn't dissolve off the paint though...

If that doesn't work, I know methanol removes permanent marker, but that's even harsher.

    Very, very fine sandpaper...

I find a normal soft eraser able to remove permanent marker from plastics.

Your E1505 does have plastic casing... but not the newer 1420/1525/1720 models.

EDIT: Uh, ok, I saw the 1525 (actually the 1526) today at Best Buy... it's actually plastic. The 1420 is something different though... I think it's metal.
