as titles says, i am thinking of getting zalman but the fan of the laptop is on the rear so i am a bit confused. If your using a cooler can you tell me wat it is and how much temp reduction did u get...ty and how much difference in temp for the 1680 compared to the 1200 screen size?

    A spark doesn't sound good.

I have the 9 Cell battery which props the laptop up and alows for much better airflow under the laptop thus improves cooling; you could try that plus you get the benefit of longer battery life :D

I have been zapped a couple times buy the laptop however it was only straight after I upgraded the memory - been fine since

If you are getting a spark on the screen even infrequently I would get straight on the phone to dell for diagnosis and possible replacement of parts.
