So I have heard people old Dell laptops are replaced by new units when there are problems on the machine. What kind of warranty do you purchase from Dell for this to happen?
If I were to buy a laptop from Dell now, what warranty should I purchase, so that if in the future after a few years if laptop has problems, it gets replaced by a new unit?

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
You buy the standard warranty and if they have to fix it enough times (typically 3), or if enough parts are out of stock, they may replace your unit.
Alternatively, you buy Complete Care, and if your unit is totaled in an accident, they may replace your unit as well.
Do note that you aren't guaranteed to get a new unit in either of these processes, though.
Units could also be replaced with new units of the same model. -
Will they cover for any kind of accidents? Like accidentally spilling water over the laptop ? Thanks!

Someone I know dropped their laptop in a bathtub while it was on, sent it in for complete care repair, and the computer came back fully functioning. The only thing that was replaced was the battery.
What kind of warranty is this?
