    Is it 7m or 9.5mm?

    Specifically on the Dell Vostro 3559 (new 3000 series)

    Also does anyone know what brand RAM they use and what the timings are (or know where I can find out)?

    That's not the easiest question to answer, since Dell uses whatever they have in stock when your machine was being built.
    Easiest way is to find out is run Speccy (google it) and it'll tell you everything in one nice GUI.

    But from experience, the ones I've pulled from my mobile workstations are typically Seagate SSHDs, and Dell seems to have a preference for Hynix ram for non-ecc and Samsung for ECC. But other people have pulled Micron sticks out of theirs too, so its very unpredictable.
