I am wanting to buy a new laptop but am having issues with all the new releases. I was looking at the Vostro 1500 and the Precision M4300. The M4300 had some better specs but it was hard to decide if they were worth the extra money. Then I saw the t61p from lenovo and thought that looked even better especially for the $200 price difference.

I am looking for a system to use for business. I will be using All progs in the CS3 bundle, auch as PS, Dreamweaver, Flash and also doing a lot of code writing for web and PC systems. This system will not be used for gaming. The only use of the video card will be for PS.

The specs that are the most important to me are the t7500 cpu, 2gb of ram, and I would really prefer a 7200rpm drive but the Vostro only comes with a 5400rpm. I want a 15.4 widescreen display, preferably a fingerprint reader but this is not a deal breaker if it doesn't have it. I want the highest resolution possible to maximize the desktop real estate. I really do not want to deal with heat issues so the system needs to have a great cooling system. I am by an outlet most of the time so I am ok if the battery life is in the 3 hour range.

My price point is around $2200.

With all this in mind, can a you all please recommend a solid system. I post in dell because 2 out of the 3 systems I was looking at were dell. The name on the system is not a huge deal to me. If you want to recommend an HP or other brand that would be fine as well.

Since your budget is pretty high, I'd recommend looking at better built notebooks, like the HP 8510p, Dell D640, ASUS V1s and T61p.
