I have built my Vostro 1500 and the one area I am unsure about is the type of screen finish I should order - true life, anti glare, etc.
Thanks.

I perfer WSXGA+ (1680x1050) with trulife. However what I like may not be your cup of tea. Screens are a very subjective thing, therefore I recommend a trip to atleast BestBuy or a similar store to see some screens in person. If possible I highly recommend visiting a Dell Kiosk in a mall. There you should be able to find the Vosto 1500's consumer marketed brother the Inspiron 1520. The Dell Kiosks are your best chance at seeing the higher resolution screen.
BTW, This topic is specifically asking a question about a Dell notebook. So I will move it to the Dell forum where Dell owners can help you out with picking a screen. Again I recommend seeing for yourself if you can. -
hm i personally opted for the wxga+ with tru life on my vostro 1500 it is a very nice screen in my opinion. but it really comes down to personaly preference, i personally think the 1440x900 screen resolution is perfect for the 15.4" screens and the tru life finish gives better colour reproduction and better contrast
if you dont mind a bit of glare then get tru life.

I prefer the wsxga+ with true life as well - but there's a huge difference between that and say a 1280 x 800 anti glare screen. Best thing would be to head to a store and check out the different displays to see which you like best.
What type of screen for my Vostro 1500?
