I dunno about u guys, but I think Dell has once again successfully "uglified" another laptop. Somehow the Samsung just looks... slicker. heh

Spec-wise its basically a slightly more powerful(and heavier) version of the Sony x505. I think definitely more usable -- as the 10.4" screen of the Sony is essentially worthless. The dell doesn't look all that great, but then again, it's a hella cheaper than the slick carbon-fiber x505.

It's one of those laptops that if you aren't sure whether you need it or not -- you don't. Cuz it's main selling point is weight and portability at the compromise of performance.

    cheers,

    yass

most people that visit this site wouldn't buy an X1, the ultraportable market is very nice and very small. You only need a really small laptop if you travel a lot or just like small things. I wouldn't recommend it for a home computer or if you don't travel a lot, you pay more for small size and lose performance.
