What's the quickest and most efficient way to cancel a Dell? I ordered a Dell XPS m1330 today, Huzzah! I'm looking forward to getting it! But wouldn't you know it, a couple hours after my order, I find a $300 off coupon from this site instead of the $100 off I used. So I'd love to cancel my first order so I can place my second and the $300 off coupon expires tomorrow.

I thought about ordering the 2nd one too and then just calling in on Monday to cancel the first. But then searching through the forums on Cancellations really has me worried since:

    1) I could cancel but due to the 48 hour turn-around still get my 1st order.

    2) Just let it go through but refuse the order. But then there's a 15% restocking fee that negates all savings.

Any great options out there that don't require a lot of followup both on my end and Dell? I may just have to lose out on the added savings. Before sign up on the forum I looked around for 30 minutes for a "Cancel" or "Hold Order" button, before giving up and searching on Google. Listings from this forum and Dell's came up first.

Call them first thing Monday morning. Once you tell them to cancel they have zero excuse to ship it.

I saw a posting on Dell's Forum from 2006 where a customer rep replied about someone's cancellation and told the user they were sorry since the cancellation took longer to process than it took them to ship - 48 hours to cancel - less than that to ship out.

Your suggestion is certainly best for me and weighs heavily in my favor. I've placed the order for the other one at the lower price. Worst case I'm stuck with 2 and I'll just auction 1 off.

    Actually having 2 wouldn't be bad... :)
