It's $88 more on the configuration I'm considering (Precision M4400). Both seem to offer next business day onsite support.

    Hey!

    Here is information on ProSupport:
    http://www.dell.com/content/topics/...t/rethink_services?c=us&l=en&s=gen&redirect=1

    and, more info here: http://www.dell.com/content/product...station_precision_m4400?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd

It look's like you get more dedicated service with ProSupport.
ProSupport explodes this traditional device-centric support services model by focusing on customer roles and applying consistent operational processes across all device types AND the software running on those devices. The ProSupport model, which is only available to commercial and channel customers, will allow IT organizations to specify support requirements based on the role of the subscriber and the level of support that individual requires. Customers can build support service agreements a la carte or by customizing one of several pre-defined
bundles. In either case, the specification process begins by identifying the role of the person using the service (rather than starting with the type of device being supported). Two choices are available:

IT professionals: receive direct access to Dell’s global command centers for mission critical response management as well as participation in the new Fast Track Dispatch Program that allows certified IT professionals to order parts directly rather than going through the Dell support call center. Beta users of Fast Track report reducing internal IT staff time spent on break/fix activities by about 1/3.

End-user business professionals: can get support for almost any client device problem including application software support, data protection and restoration, theft protection and connectivity problems on the road. This is a significant extension of the services that Dell has provided to end-user business professionals in the past.

With a regular warranty, you get on-site, and the advantages of having the Business side of support.

    Cin ;) :)

Another thing about ProSupport, you get access to North American Tech Support.
