    I am planning to buy my first laptop and Dell is on my short list. I can't find any info on the different models and any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Vostros are the budget model. They are still very nice notebooks.

    Vostros are much better for home users, since they have nearly the exact same hardware as the inspiron models.
