    Hands up, I'm a bit of an audiophile. I like my music to sound good - after all, I spent good money on it!
    Out and about, I can suffer on-board speakers/earbuds, but at a desk I have the real estate for something a bit... fancier :p.

    How well does the sound carry over the HDMI?
    How many channels will it carry?
    If I were to go for an external sound card, what are good options?
    USB or Express card? (Provide examples/recommendations please :))

    I was thinking of hooking it up to an amp in my separates, or through a monitor/tv with speakers, or even into a monitor with a pass-through for sound (least like option actually, I don't really want to spend money on a screen - I'm a poor student :p)
