    I'm intrigued, because what if I dislike Vista and it's just a whole bunch of bloatware for me?

    If you want a refund, you should not try to run Vista at all. You should refuse to agree with the terms stated in the Eula, after having read
    it, and ask the manufacturer (i.e. DELL, and NOT Microsoft) for the refund such Eula grants you.

    Please note that exerting this right can be a painful and time consuming, so google a bit to see how others succeded in getting the refund.
