In the past they had the

    Inspiron 1520
    Inspiron 1525

    Then they brought out the

    Inspiron 1545

In the past year alone they've made 3 different models

    Inspiron 1564
    Inspiron 15R

    And now a new model

Inspiron 15 Laptop Details | Dell Australia

In Australia, they no longer sell the Inspiron 1564 which I personally thought was the best looking of the lot with the Studio hinge design. It was up for maybe 6 months before Dell removed it.

Was looking for a laptop for my Dad but annoyed at the fact that the Inspiron 1564 is no longer listed. Why must Dell keep making all these stupid revisions?!

I do not have answer to your question, but what I have seen that Dell is quite successful in having good number of business customers for Inspiron. They get bulk orders from the Computer/IT industry.

Have you checked the Outlet for the 1564? Some decent stuff to be found there
