With all these build issues with the M1330, why do people continue to buy them? The Latitudes are smaller, often cheaper for similar configurations. They don't look as nice as the M1330, but beyond that, I don't see why people choose them over the D's.

D640 is a 14.1” that may drive away people looking for portability (GPU is also weaker). On the other hand D430 is very portable but it only comes with ULV processors, no integrated optical drive  . Besides, Latitudes don’t look that nice and have very limited multimedia support (no dedicated media buttons, remote controllers, Media Direct).. yeah and finally, No LED screen

And I don't think either one of them are any cheaper than a M1330.

Lol, if you ask me they look ugly and ****ty-halfed-ass-built, lol, seems like you can rip it in half like a paper. The reason why not everyone isn't getting a Latitude is 'cause you need a biz to get one.

Latitudes may not look flashy as XPSs or Inspirons, but has a much better build quality! its the Thinkpad equivalent of DELL. And BTW, you don’t have to be in a business to get one.

Ah, I didn't see the "external" title of the optical drive options, that's a major downside... Bah, I guess I'll have to order another M1330 then...
