Does dell have any plans on giving us the option to put in a decent video card? All I see is the Accelerator 950 and I dont think that will do for the games Im planning on playing. I want a computer that is easier to lug around so an E1405 would be a better choice than an E1505 in that category. Sucks...

I'm not sure it even is a 950. My device manager/drivers list it as a 945.

Elderlycrawfish is right, the 945G is the chipset; 950 GMA is the graphics engine.

Has anyone seen the E1405 and E1505 in person? Is there a noticeable difference in size? Maybe noticeable is not the right word to use but lets say you had to lug a laptop to and from class would having one over the other make a large difference?

FWIW, I'm very happy with the size of my e1505, and I plan on carrying it around to class this fall. I haven't seen the e1405, but I looked at some other 14" laptops and they almost seemed too small to me.

if they dont put in in the 1405, how likely is it that the m1210 is going to have dedicated graphics?

I've just received my E1405 and it is definitely smaller than the E1505. I had to wrestle between wanting the E1505 with dedicated graphics or the E1405 and I chose portability over gaming as I have another home PC rig that I can do that with. The Intel GMA950 works well with my dual LCD setup which is all I need it to really do. So far I'm glad I chose the E1405 because of the size.

As mentioned on this site and others, the M1210 is supposed to have the option for an ATI x1300 or nVidia 7300. I haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise, but I guess we'll find out sooner or later. :p
