    Whats the standard dell warranty length?

    Just wondering what the standard warranty is on the dell laptops. I bought an E1405 little over a year ago and just wondering if it is still under warranty. I didnt but any extra warranty deals, just the one it comes with.. I dont have the paper work with me so do any of you guys know? Thanks

    Well, it depends on what system you got. There are some that have a 2 year standard, or 3 year standard, or 4 year standard. The only way to tell is to go to support.dell.com and type in your express service code or service tag or something - or if you are really interested, and can't figure it out - just call!

    And depends on the country you live in.

    In Australia, basic warraty is 1 year next day on-site. Which means you get a tech coming to your house the next day. I pity the people who have to mail their laptop in, that is very inconvenient.
