    It is pretty dated and plasticky and really in need of a refresh. They don't really have any thin 14-17" offerings anymore. Any idea if anything is in the pipeline?

    The Inspiron is the budget line and will probably continue to be plasticky. The XPS line or maybe a business laptop would be a better choice if you want something different.
