    I thought Sonoma was supposed to include the new Express Card slot, the High Definition Audio Card with 7.1 audio support with all systems. Why won't any new Dell notebooks feature such things yet? When can I expect to see these options?

    I think its because the whole world still uses the older PCMCIA card or whatever its called. Newer notebooks down the road will probably have them, and some (only a few, though) other Sonomas out right now do have it.

    Edit: I think the 7.1 issue is because the Latitude line is more based on business use, and audio is more multimedia/Inspiron use.

    I was looking forward to Sonoma and thought about getting the Latitude D610 (with promotion 200$ off and 10$ shipping).

    Now i'm confused, this laptop has Sonoma but it seems that it's missing Express Card and HD Audio (can anyone confirm ?).

    I recently recieved my Latitude D610 and no it doesn't have the Express Card slot ot the 7.1 Audio. I don't know if these features will be added later or not. However I've had the laptop for several days now and I'm very happy with it so far.
