    When computer goes into standy by it turns off but

    after a while i come to the room and i see that the hard drive is back on and i open my laptop and i find that it opens back to the windows log on screen. I thought when i put my computer in standby its suppose to be off until i hit the power button again. Whats the deal? i checekd all the settings i dont see what the problem is.

    That is normal for the 'standby' feature. You probably want to set it to 'hibernate'.
