Just curious, because part of my reason for buying my Vostro over the Inspiron was that it came with Windows XP. XP was not an option for Inspirons just a month or so ago. When did they start offering this option for the Inspiron?

Not only that, with the recent $425 off Dell coupon, you can get a well equipped Inspiron for under $1300!

    T7500 2.2GHz
    8600m GT 256MB DDR2
    2GB RAM
    160GB 5400RPM HDD (there's even 7200 RPM offerings now)
    1680x1050 TL display
    DVDRW
WinXP Pro (get Vista Home Prem or XP Home and knock another $100 off)

Pretty damn good deal - best to jump on this one as you can't find a better deal at the moment.

Ever since Vista came, the possibility to get an Inspiron with XP has come and gone about 3 times.

Why would it come and go, that makes no sense. Just make it an option until they can't sell it any more.

run out of CD keys? LOL. I'm sure with a company like dell they are given either their own generator or can pull them at a moments notice.
