    When did dell start giving free upgrades of vista with a purchase (i know im late)

    I am wondering when dell started giving free upgrades of windows vista and if i bought a new system at the begining of Sept. 2006 is there any way for me to get this upgrade. Maybe by calling in or something. Any insite?

    If i am still having the memory parity nmi error message do you think one of the solutions could be to upgrade to vista? Or at least do you think they may allow me to try that as a solution?

    ive heard this does not fix the notebook but you can try after jan 30 thats when vista comes out
    i think i would be burning up the phone lines with this problem

    if the parity error is a hardware problem, vista will not fix it, if its a software error, it might, I've stated several times that I had that problem on all 3 of my dells when I first got them, after clean installs, I never had it again
