    When does dell do alot of deals.(thinking of buying vostro 1500)

    As you may know from my other posts i am thinking of buying the dell vostro 1500 and i was wondering if dell does deals in june/july fairly commonly. Thanks.

    dell always does deals. some peeps just wait for the better ones.

    Last week was probably the best I've seen. $574 for my Vostro 1500 included a free upgrade to the 128Mb nVidia card. Only changes I made were to the HDD (went with the 7200rpm model w/ free fall sensor) and the CD/DVD (downgraded to the 24x CD burner).

    I'll up the RAM and CPU at the same time later this year.

    Yeah that was a nice deal as I bought a 1500 for $519. I got the 128MB nvidia card. I downgraded the memory to 1GB as I have 4GB of ram I had purchased and I upgraded the HDD to 160GB.

    The best deal i've seen was their $500 select Vostro's. I bought a nicely equipped 1700 with a T7250, 2GB ram, 160GB HDD, DVD writer, 8600m GT, carrying bag, and a wireless mouse for $803.
