    When does dell issue delay notices?

    My ESD is Wednesday and as such I don't see how my laptop is going to be shipped by that date. I'm still in build.
    So my question is when will Dell just admit that I'm going to be delayed?

    They'll send the email right about the end of the date (11:59pm) that the laptop was supposed to ship.

    I think the theory is, it's not delayed until it's delayed. For what it's worth, my ESD was May 28, and I received my delay notice on the afternoon of the 28th. And then it shipped on the evening of the 28th.

    But yeah, they generally don't seem to acknowledge a delay until your ESD actually arrives.

    By the way, is it just me or is this site (NBR) really sort of unreliable. It always seems about 50/50 whether a page is actually going to load or not.
