Nuts, my sister needs a new laptop, and she just told me today. Therefore, I just missed the 35% deal. So how long till the next 35% or $500 off deal? She wants the I6000 price to be around $1000 give or take $100.

Exactly what I was going to ask. How often do they do the $750 off $1899 + coupon?

Dell recently announced they were reevaluating the coupon code offers and since they have greatly scaled back the offer incentive amounts and even allow coupons to lapse without offering new ones. This happened a couple of weeks ago so since they're "evaluating" the coupon code tactic they've used in the past it's really hard to tell what and when the next good offer will be. The current offer expires on 9/29, it'll be interesting to see if or what they offer after that, the current offer is bad so wait until after the 29th to see if there's anything better.

Thats what I was thinking... (the waiting until a better offer comes). I expected there to be a far better offer available. Even though it wasnt my thread thanks for the quick reply.

Looking to buy a Inspiron 6000
    Hoping for $750 off $1899+

Wouldn't you rather figure out what type of laptop you need then try to find the best price?

Refurbeds usually have short warranties and are expensive to fix.
