I bought a refurbished machine a few weeks ago and I am trying to find out when it was originally made. I talked with Dell and they could not give me that info. Thanks.
Also, there is a keyboard cable popping up from behind my spacebar. Should I request a new machine or is this something I should fix on my own with no experience? The keyboard is working fine, it is just annoying.

Question #1: If Dell can't find out, then I highly doubt someone else can.
Question #2: Got to Dell Support and find the Service Manual for your model. It'll tell you how to fix your cable problem. -
actually you can find out.

put in your computer's service tag and hit GO
after that look at the section near the bottom named "Service Contracts and Warranties"
I bought my computer in January but it shows a date in September as the first item. Meaning someone originally bought it then.
When was my Dell made?
