    Hello to all you guys, this is my first post here of many more to come hopefully :D

    I ordered my first laptop, a Dell E1505 with the following specs, last Sunday afternoon.
    Core 2 Duo T5500
    1GB. DDR2 533
    X1400 256mb. (Hypermemory)
    120gb. 5400rpm. HDD
    WXGA w/Truelife
    DVD-+RW

    Total: $1052 w/free printer SHIPPED

    Anyway, these are the estimates dell gave me:
    Est. Ship Date: 12/18
    Est. Arrival: 12/21-25

    I used basic 3-5 day shipping, but will try to get it upgraded.

    Currently, in the status page, it says it is "In Production", as is the Printer I recieved with it for free. Should it take this long? Is something wrong, or am I just too impatient?

    Dell usually beats the shipping dates they provide. They usually take 1 week to get the item you ordered to your door. Which means, you should have it at your door by Monday or Tuesday.

    Once it is in the 'boxing' stage, it will take about 3 days to ship from Malasyia (assuming you're in the US) after that it's in the hands of UPS. It usually takes 10-14 days total. Next time try using the 'search' feature first, there are a few people who have asked this lately.
