When will the Dell 630 & 830 ship

Does anyone know when either the Dell 630 or 830 Lattitude will ship? The expected ship date says 06/11/2007. 2 Days to process the order and 15 days to build the system. Everyone who have ever purchased a Dell before know that one can order the system on a Friday ( the ship date would be a week or two) And then you check the order status and they have shipped by that Monday. BTW, I see that Dell have taken the 820 and 620 off the configeration page. Must mean something. Although I would prefer a discrete graphics card... I need the system soon. May have to pull the trigger on Either the Dell 830, Lenovo Thinkpad T61, or HP 6500....hmmmm

 

Hmmm, I checked the Dell website and you are right, the D620 is gone. I'm assuming they might release it a bit earlier than anticipated, the original prelim. ship date was 6/14, it is now 6/11. I'm going to keep watching the date and checking daily as I too need a laptop.

I was originally set on getting a T61 but the usual piss-poor screen and rather average battery life doesn't help either. I thought about getting an HP but I I wanted a higher res screen (and something that looked a bit more business-like).

 

I think I heard that the d630 comes out the first week in June

 

Dell's Indian site says that the new Latitudes are available for shipment from 21st May 2007. I ordered one D630 last monday and I am hoping it will be delivered to me in 1st week of June 07
