    Where can I download best performing 8600M GT driver for m1530?

    Age of Conan is coming out soon and i want to give it a whirl. Where can I download the best performing 8600M GT driver? I tried laptop video2go but that site doesn't look like the modified infs are being maintained anymore and I am a noob.

    Please help!

    You can get the 174.31 driver from Dell. Just go to the download drivers support page for the Inspiron 1520 (yes I know you've got a M1530 but the video driver is the same) and download it for the 8600M.

    Once you upgrade from the stock (ie very old) Dell driver, the performance differences between drivers are minimal. I was getting the same framerates and 3Dmark scores 6 months ago that I am now....give or take.

    A few 3DMarks here and there, maybe a frame or two in certain games. It's mostly about patching bugs and glitches.

    Just find one thats stable for you. That's the 'best driver' tbh.

    perhaps we need a sticky for the 8600GT drivers

    this question of 'best' and new drivers get asked alot on here
