    Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where I can find the "85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery" for the E1505? I checked the Dell website and couldn't find a 9-cell battery that specifically says it's compatible with the E1505. Am I not looking in the correct places?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Darn, is eBay the only place I can find the 9-cell batteries? Has anyone had any experience with it? Good? Bad? Advice?

i got a brand new, dell-branded. latest version 9 cell (and relatively cheap compared to buying from dell direct) from this ebay seller...

http://stores.ebay.com/ProductGeeks you might contact them to see what they can do

I bought an HP branded battery for my HP Pavilion off of Ebay. I was a bit concerned when it shipped from Hong Kong, but it looked genuine. Unfortunately I suspect it was a cheap counterfeit as after about 2 months it would no longer hold a charge.

Do a Google seatch on 'counterfeit batteries ebay' and see what you find, especially relating to cell phones and digital cameras.

Don't buy anything from out of USA. Most mainland batteries, however, are genuine. Don't expect KILLER deals, but do expect modest price reductions. Check the feedback, if they've sold a bunch of batteries before, check the customer reviews.

Personally, I trust ebay, but only because I know how to use it.

I believe the 9 cell battery isn't available for sale on Dell website. I did the same search a few months ago and coudn't find any. You'd have to call Dell to place the order directly, or get one off eBay.

Do a search on Dell replacement parts. I found my wireless modem and bluetooth cheaper then ebay offered. Sometimes there's discount on Dell Replacement Parts so keep your heads up!...

I called DELL to see how much 9 cell for E1505 costs, it was like $170 something. Then I asked em about refurbished ones, they sell em for $70. I'm gonna order one in few hours. I just recieved a $100 gift card in the e-mail and gonna use it to get this sucker.

Wow that $70 dollar battery sounds like an awesome deal, but what does a "refurbished battery" mean? How do such batteries compare to brand new ones?

When I call em to order the 9cell, I'll ask em about it; although dell rep confirmed that there's nothing wrong with it. But, I'll have to call em and double check. Although I got my laptop as refurb and I'm happy with it. It might be different with battries but I'll see what they gonna say when I order it.

I'd just worry about how well the refurb still holds a charge, but I don't really know what they do to them in the process, so, yeah...
