I opened up the panel covering the RAM on my Inspiron and I only see one stick. Is the second stick on the other side? If so, I think I'll need to take off the whole bottom.

Without knowing what model you have...check to make sure its not supposed stacked on eachother. If its not stacked on top of eachother, then its most likely under the keyboard(or its soldered on the motherboard). Support.dell.com should have a service manual to tell you where your memory sticks are located.

    Inspiron 1520, 2007 model.

Under the keyboard huh... that kinda makes it hard to exchange RAM then. If I have to open up the whole thing to reach the other half, what's the point of letting me open up the panel to reach one stick?

    Well anyways, thanks.
