Crucial and NewEgg are obvious places to check.

Ah! Great! I checked Newegg but not Crucial. Thanks.

Now the question is which model? Where can I find the information on the type of RAM that Dell uses for Precision M90?

    240-pin DIMM: DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64

    or

    200-pin SODIMM: DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • UNBUFFERED • ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 72

OK, I used their Memory Advisor tool for M90 and the result is:

    DDR2 PC2-5300 • CL=5 • UNBUFFERED • NON-ECC • DDR2-667 • 1.8V • 256Meg x 64

and the price is almost the same as Dell's! 2847 USD

You can't have 240-pin DIMM on a lappie only 200-pin SODIMM.

zipzoomfly is also a great place to check. I find that newegg and zipzoomfly have about the same prices. But zipzoomfly always offeres free 2nd day air. Well 99% of the time. ;)
