What kind of laptop do you have?

Yes, it is possible to upgrade the graphics in that.
The Go6800 for the i9300 is running pretty cheap on eBay, or you can try Dell's parts store - the refurbished Go6800 runs fairly low priced as well.
Cheers, -
Thanks
also, I have heard I need a 9cell battery to install a geforce go6800, is this true? -

Hm..I thought you only needed that if you wanted to install the Go7800GTX.
I'll send this to the Dell forum for you - they are a lot more knowledgable about this particular topic than I am. -

kwokster,
I have a 6800GO and I have a 6-cell battery....yes I believe that is for the 6800 Ultra and the 7800 that you have to do that! -
If you enjoy battery life, the 9 cell is a must if you want the 6800...
-
Thanks everyone, I'm probably going to get a go6800 on ebay.
-
ahhhh... but installation?
-
Installation takes only 15mins.
-
Have any of you upgraded the video card in the 9300?

I know alot of people that have done that...you have to get a XPS Northbridge and 7800GTX from Dell. You have to have a 9-cell battery and flash the bios to the XPS bios. It looks pretty easy, but I don't need it right now, so I think I am going to wait to do that. I might just buy a new lappy this year again.
Where do you get a graphics card for a laptop
