Does any one know when will Dell will launch Penryn based 1530?
-
The penryn are released on the 16th I think......
They still use the santa rosa platform you know. It should be 3-6 weeks before Dell starts offering them -
the current $594 discount which runs through Jan 31 and Penryn are likely mutually exclusive...
-
penryn processors have already been released, but no info yet on when Dell will be using the for their lappys
-
Will penryn processors have wimax?
-
Penryn just came out like, 2 - 4 days ago.. You won't see systems with it until the 20th or 30th of this month. Give it time..
I don't know what all the excitement is.. It's just a optimized version of Memron..
Only see a minor 10% difference. Pretty minor.. -

10% seems like a lot to me. I'll take some. Aren't they lower power, too?

Anandtech has already received a DELL Latitude D630 with Penryn for testing, which means DELL is already working on it..
-
Man, i was supposed to place my order for a 1530, so i guess i have to wait for the Penryn... hurry up Dell
-
I was looking at the online 1530 manual and they include .45nm processors in the specs so I doubt they are far away.

Patience, Dell will upgrade soon enough. Dell is always one of the first to update their lineup.

Got one during the 10 days of dell... Just disappointed i did not get any deals from the reps. they keep saying the online discount is already the best they have.. while i keep reading posts how they got freebies from phone reps...

Wurger reports that Dell Australia is now offering a free Penryn upgrade on a preconfigured XPS 1330 (offer ends Feb. 7):

So, hopefully, the Penryn is coming to the 1530 soon.
