I have Vista 32-bit with the 8600M GT and I read the guide on how to update drivers according to the laptopvideo2go guide. However, I downloaded the 165.01 drivers and overwrote its inf with the inf they provided. When I go to update the drivers by pointing it to the desktop, it said that I had the most updated drivers, however, unless it automatically updates the drivers I don't believe it did anything and that it's not recognizing the drivers in the folder.

I think I may be using the wrong drivers, can someone point me where to get the drivers and the inf? I heard that the 163.44 drivers are good, but there's no inf download link. What am I doing wrong here?

In the device manager, it says that I have nvidia drivers 7.15.11.126. What is that supposed to mean? Does that mean I have the best drivers right now?
