Where would you get a cooling pad? Ebay or Newegg? Carry Case?

Hey all, I have read other posts on this about GOOD cooling pads. So the question is.. to someone who knows, I know on Ebay there is alot of options and some cheaper then newegg, if they are as good.. I dont know.

    Ebay - http://search.ebay.com/search/searc...os=ZIP/Postal&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=

    NewEgg - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834999336

    Just checking..

As for a laptop case.. what is better, those bookbags or normal style? Where would you buy a good one at for cheap cost? =)

Tempted to go bookbag style I think.. easier to carry hehe.. more pockets too I think. =) But willing to go normal if its worth it. =)

I bought my cooler off of tigerdirect.com, a site very similar to newegg.com. As for case style I have a normal style. However, I sort of wish I had the bookback style as I am a college student and it would be nice to lug around one bad instead of two. If you are a student, I would definately reccomend a backpack style, otherwise I think it is a matter of personal preference. Hope that helps.

Yea I may try tigerdirect.com I get gift certs for them hehe..

But I run my laptop off my lap (omg! A laptop used on its name, the lap lol) As well as my bed. So a pad would be ideal.

Im eyeing the backpack too... but they run 40$+ =/

I am looking at the Vantec LapCool3 USB Notebook Cooling Pad or the Inland Aluminum Notebook Cooling Fan Pad I guess.

    Thoughts?

Also on the 1505.. anyone knows if the unit sucks air in from the bottom or does it exhaust from the bottom? Since I saw some cooling pads can be set to either blow air upwards or suck it out.. which does the E1505 need?

I dont think I would want Xpad, YES it would be nice for running it on the floor or bed to keep it off of it.. however I use a Targus pad without a fan already.

Also fans dont damage your system. Just need the right matching one, if your laptop sucks air in from the bottom, you need a fan that blows into it. If it exhausts from the bottom, then the fans have to suck it and push it away.

Thats the trick right now.. to find out what is it I need..

I wanna be able to place it somewhere and it keeps it off the ground too, as I said, I run it off my bed, sometimes maybe the floor etc.. which is NOT a good idea to run a barelaptop without something under it in those conditions.

Sorry to bump.. which is more ideal? A aluminum one? If so, why?

Also one that fits a 15.4 screen size fully on the bottom and helps it stand up more? (Since I dont run it on a hard surface I need the pad to help it sit on and raise it)

Just if I buy one.. Need to make sure its worth it.

i ordered my carrying case off of Amazon.com. Should be here on the 31 or the 1st. Got its for about $14 less than i would've paid for it in store. Targus Miami

But i needed one that fit a 17 inch, you might be able to find a better deal in stores, Staples, CompUSA, Microcenter, Fry's Electronics ( www.outpost.com)

I'm lucky enough to have all of those stores nearby, especially Fry's

Is this for your E1505? I went to all the local stores, and I liked Best Buy and CompUSA the best, they have some really nice notebook cases that fit E1505 perfectly, price range from $29.99 to 39.99.

Eek nono talking about cooling pad. ^^

If I am getting a bookbag, I already decided on the Tarugus Grove or Pulse backpack. =D

Unless someone can give a strong reason not to?

Made a post in the accessory forums for it, but right now, need to find out which cooling pad to REALLY use. =/ One that is ideal for this size. Plus can blow air upward, since the fan on this model is a intake on the bottom.

Also need it to raise the laptop upward like that Xpad so I can keep it on the bed and not worry on vents etc.

    As for Backpack.
    I saw the Targus groove
    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1238017&CatId=1786

and the one I probably will go with due to its having a waist strap is the Targus Pulse.

Just when it comes to spending real money.. its always good to research things. Otherwise you get screwed.. and since thats what these forums are for. =)

the best bag carrying case is made by Techstyle..come in many colors..you actually leave the carring case on it..just unzip the front...and what i did since the laptop gets pretty warm with the bag on it when you use it was velcro a cooling pad from FRY's..i should post some pics beacuse my setup is the best setup ive ever seen...and the cooling pad runs off of USB power..it has a switch on the side so when you think you may not need the cooling you can conserve battery by shutting it off...

Too expensive, looks nice tho! Looks better then that Bytecc one that can scratch, issue is.. if I tried to use that on a bed.. dont think it would be stable.
