    Which Battery?

    I need to replace the battery in my Inspiron 1200,the original battery is
    #P5413,NI-MH, 9.6v, 4500MAh, 43wh.
    The replacement battery with the same part number is Lithium-ion, 14.8v,4400MAh, 65wh.
    It seems the higher voltage might damage my computer, but I could not get a direct answer when I called. Does anyone know if the new battery is compatible with my computer or will it smoke it? Thanks for the help. :confused:
