I am ready to order but don't know which battery to get. I like the low profile of the 6-cell but was wondering how much run time I could get. Would anybody mind throwing some advice my way?
    Thx

your 9 cell will last longer , now how much longer is depending on what are you doing with your computer... I didn't like the 9 cell because it was sticking out... I think you should buy both it's a good deal , because if you ever wantt to but another one by it self it will cost you 156 $ with tax for the 6 cell .... check the website so buy them both and change them as you wish...

I think buying both would be beneficial. The extra cost isn't that much and is well worth it in the end. The 6 cell will be good for traveling then you will have a back up ready to go.

Your looking at about 3.5 hours on the 6 cell and 5.5 hours on the 9 cell.

If you like you can get the M1330 with the thin and light LED which will extend battery life on both batteries a fair bit. At east 40 extra min on the 6 cell.

I purchased the 9 cell, but now I really would like the 6 cell as a backup. Is there any way to avoid the $150 dell wants to charge and order it from someone or somewhere else?

Upon making my initial order, I chose to order both the 6 and 9. Having ordered laptops from dell in the past, I realize now that you can save a bit by doing that as opposed to ordering the separate battery later. They really get you on those prices.

Sometimes you can find batteries for sell on ebay for a decent price but since this unit is relatively new, I don't know if there are many available yet.

I will have mine plugged in 90% of the time so I went with the 6 cell.

Bah! I ordered the 9-cell only. Can't be too big right? Anyway, I would be more comfortable with the extra battery time because I really hate pluging in in public places. Thx for the replies! :D

I am kinda lazy, so I went with 9 cell. Along the line I probably just use one and forget about the other. Since I heard the battery's usage life drains even if you don't use em (is this true?), so I figure it would be waste at my position. But it would be cool if I can swap like Outkastland. When you need obsolute mobility take 6 cell or if need battery life (like in the plane) take two.
