Hello. I was thinking of purchasing a Dell Inspiron 1520 Laptop down the road specifically for gaming and daily urgent computing as I become college-bound.

As you can see in my laptop excel configurations, I have some trouble deciding which processor to purchase that meets the standards of the graphics card.

I don’t want an overpowering processor when I can configure a cheaper processor and add some other essentials, such as web cam, longer battery life, and faster/bigger hard drive.

I’d like some help on deciding which configuration to purchase, as well as, some insight on Intel and Dell’s wireless network card. Another question, how much is too much ram?

I'd go with the T7500 but I would lower the memory to 2GB and increase the hard drive size.

Dual-Channel memory requires 2 each of the same capacity memory DIMMs - so you will not get all the benefits with a 3GB setup.

#3 or #4, I think it really comes down to if you want a camera or not, you wont see much of a difference between 0.2 Ghz, the only thing would be the 2GB-3GB ram change but either #3 or #4

edit: I think #4 has 4Mb l2 cache so you might see a difference, but again #3 has a faster spinning hdd which is better for gaming
