I like the V2000Z for its value/feature balance and the fact that its not as ancient as many of the Dell lines. I know Dell doesn't carry any AMD lines but which model compares closest to the V2000z?

well, that's where there's a big hole in the Dell lineup and I'm confused they haven't done anything about producing a 14" screen consumer notebook with some nice multimedia features such as the dv10000 / compaq v2000. Honestly, even though the 700m is a 12" screen notebook it does have the glossy screen like the v2000 and is portable so I'm going to say that's the closest, you could make a case for the inspiron 6000 but it's just so much bigger.
The Latitude D610 is a 14.1" screen notebook but it's more business than consumer oriented and has no fancy multimedia features or glossy screen. -

Any idea when the 630m will be available in the US? Is it the same body as the 600m? There is not much info other than on European websites.
