I want to but a gaming laptop and i have US$1300 to spend. Which 1 should i buy. i had a 640m before with GMA 950 and thers not much gaming that can be done on it. It has to be an ultra-portable that can play a game like Battlefield 2. I wanted to get a D620 but here in Australia it starts from US$1500!!!!! and in USA it starts from US$900. why is that?

Is there any gaming laptop you could recommend for $1300(that si available in Ausie)

You can either get the dell E1505 (6400 I think) or the XPS 1210. I am not sure how much they cost in the land down under but you can get them here for that price.

I would just configure all the models that have dedicated graphics and see how much they cost.

Hmm, well, E1505 isnt THAT great for gaming (the X1400 is a little underpowered) and I THINK the M1210 is going to go way over 1300. How about something RIGHT in the middle of that, an E1705. You can get a 7900gs (AWESOME card for the price) in that beast. Try customizing it and see what you can get for the money. Don't forget about using coupon codes.

EDIT: Ohh, wait, ultraportable (I need to read the WHOLE post). Well, yeah, you either one of them will work that DanG said. I would go with the M1210 because of how much more power its going to have than the E1505 (but your going to come REALLY close to your price limit).

You might want to try filling out the FAQ in the what should I buy forum.

Uh, just FYI, the x1400 is more powerful than the card in the m1210..
