    Hi,

My CD-ROM and DVD Drivers are corrupt and I need to reinstall them. I have open in Windows Explorer the Dell folder where the drivers are located, but I do not know which one(s) is the CD-ROM and DVD drivers. Does anyone know? Here's the snapshot:

Right-click My Computer > find Device Manager > right-click device > uninstall drivers.

That folder is just where Dell saves driver files in case they need to be reinstalled.

Microsoft provides the drivers for CD/DVD ROMS - not Dell. Dell provides firmware (which is a BIOS for the drive not a driver).

To reinstall CD/DVD drivers go to Device Manager, double click your optical drive, driver tab, uninstall button, let it do its thing and then reboot. This will reinstall the MS drivers.

I did this and when I reboot it says it installs the drivers but they still do not work.
