I'm looking to buy a new M1330 and would appreciate any thoughts about the pros and cons of the various new processors -- along with the ideal/appropriate amount of RAM for the particular processor (and/or any other configuration considerations relating to the processor).

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Right now anything above the T8300 doesn't seem worth the price. The reality is that you'll probably be fine with the T7250 unless you're doing an extreme amount of encoding or CPU intensive tasks.

If you get Vista you should get 2GB of RAM. Don't order more than 2GB from Dell, it's way too overpriced. If you want 3 or 4 GB, buy 1GB and upgrade it yourself for a fraction of the price.
